Several papers at WMT and EMNLP in Budapest!
I’ll be presenting my internship paper from LILT, LocQE: Principled Domain Adaptation for Localisation Quality Estimation by Leveraging Post-Edits in the WMT poster session. Excited to talk to more people about this work!
My co-author Adnan will be in the main conference, presenting our paper Predicting Multilingual Classification and Translation Performance of LLMs with Cross-Lingual Alignment – Is English Enough?. I started work on this project last year, but she really grew this idea into something bigger and cooler.
Plus, I was part of the Shared Task on Multitask LLMs with Limited Resources in two ways: As a co-organiser, I was responsible for the zero-shot baseline and for several analyses. And as an advisor, I asked a group of students to try working on this task—they really exceeded my initial expectations and ended up submitting a very nice system.
See you in Budapest!
